One of the specialty areas in which Keegan & Company is particularly qualified to testify is the field of banking. Dr. Keegan has been involved in banking throughout his professional career and has testified in cases involving banking-related issues.

For example, Dr. Keegan recently provided testimony on behalf of a large international bank seeking damages against a corporate entity that had defaulted on a multi-million dollar loan. Dr. Keegan's testimony regarding the bank's actions in granting and administering the loan was a key factor in securing a favorable settlement for his client.

In another case, Dr. Keegan provided testimony for a regional bank, establishing that the operational practices of the bank should be afforded protection from competitors.

Dr. Keegan's specific professional experience in the field of banking is as follows:

  • American Banking Association: Consultant on various issues in the industry including customer facing policies such as loan processing.
  • Citibank: Consultant focusing on the high net worth individual market segment.
  • Morgan Guaranty: Jointly designed and developed an executive program for correspondent bankers. Taught course in banking strategy and operations to bankers from all over the world.
  • Columbia University Business School: Worked with and taught bankers over period of 7 years as a faculty member of Columbia University Business School Executive Development Program at Arden House.
  • American College of Banking: Served as Core Faculty Member of the American College of Banking, an ABA program at Williams College/Stanford. This program attracted bankers at different levels, focusing on consumer, business, or general management. Coursework addressed different areas of banking including marketing operations, management, IT, etc.
  • Harvard University: B.S. and M.S. in economics and MBA and doctorate at Harvard included courses in finance and banking. Has studied organizational practices and procedures throughout career.
